GRCC Kickoff Meeting
2025/11/07
We held our first in person meeting in Toronto. GRCC Members shared their latest research as we found opportunities for collaboration, and planned the future of GRCC.

Genome regulatory code in Nature Technology Feature
2025/08/18
The journal Nature highlighted recent progress in solving the genome regulatory code, featuring the work of many GRCC members. Read the full article here…
Winning the genome regulation GAME
In collaboration with many GRCC Members, de Boer lab developed a framework for scalable evaluation of genome regulation models, called GAME. The goal of GAME is to make genomics benchmarking as easy as pushing a button. GAME does this by making models and benchmarks modular so that they are stable across time and platforms (via containerization), and inherently compatible (via Application Programming Interfaces). By building a ever-increasing collection of benchmarks, we can monitor progress in cracking the genome regulatory code. Read the preprint here…
Solving the genome regulatory code using synthetic DNA, perspective published in Nature
2024/01/01
GRCC founders Carl de Boer and Jussi Taipale published a Perspective article in Nature proposing solving the genome regulatory code using synthetic DNA and AI, forming a foundation for much of the efforts at GRCC. Read the full article here…
